Current Projects

 

I currently work as a freelance editor, producer and animator in New York City.  Some of my past clients include: FutureClaw Magazine, 1stAveMachine, MTV 2, MTV U, iNK Stories Films and VBS.tv.  Aside from taking on various freelance gigs I have recently formed Exact Neutral, a collective, with a few of my very talented collaborators.  Check out our Vimeo channel to view recently finished projects at http://vimeo.com/user3484328/videos.  Please check back frequently as that content is just a smattering of the work that’s coming out. We have a lot of great stuff in the pipeline.

History

 

I received my BA in creative writing in 2002 from the University of Illinois Chicago.  There I developed an interest in narrative that led to my career in film and television. After finishing my degree I immersed myself in the film world right away. I started by working on student films and taking classes at School of the Art Institute and Harold Washington. Doing this I quickly discovered I had the knack for post and an overall fire in my belly to work in film.  I took my first editing job in 2003.  After that I worked as an editor, then producer, then animator on various documentaries, industrials, concerts, music videos and anything else that crossed my path.   In 2006 I moved to New York to cultivate my career.  Since then I have had amazing opportunities to work with some of the best talent and best companies here.

 

Most recently, from 2007 until December 2009 I was At MTV International where I produced and edited short form content: promos and original shorts. Along with demonstrating creativity and a strong musical sensibility as an editor, I developed keen story producing skills.  I also worked as a motion graphics designer and oversaw other designers in promo creation including tune-ins and info graphics to show identities.

 

Now I am back to freelancing along with finishing my directorial debut, an ambitious music video project. Over the years I have cut my teeth in network television, documentary, music video and more. I would love to have the opportunity to put my experience to work for you.
